Accessibility Statement
CaptureCraft is committed to being accessible to everyone. We implement WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards and continuously work to improve our accessibility.
TL;DR - The Important Bits
1. Visual Accessibility
Color Contrast
All text and interactive elements meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA color contrast requirements (minimum 4.5:1 ratio for normal text).
Text Sizing
Users can adjust text size in their browser settings. Our design adapts responsively to different text sizes.
Dark Mode
We offer both light and dark themes. The dark theme is easier on the eyes and reduces eye strain for many users.
Visual Focus Indicators
All interactive elements have visible focus indicators so keyboard users can see which element is currently selected.
2. Keyboard Navigation
Full Keyboard Support
Every feature in CaptureCraft is accessible via keyboard. You can navigate and use all tools without a mouse.
Logical Tab Order
Tab order follows a logical, predictable flow. Focus doesn't get trapped in any component.
Skip Links
Skip links allow keyboard users to jump directly to main content, bypassing navigation repetition.
Keyboard Shortcuts
We provide keyboard shortcuts for common actions to help power users work more efficiently.
3. Screen Reader Support
Semantic HTML
Our pages use semantic HTML5 elements, making them fully compatible with screen readers like NVDA and JAWS.
ARIA Labels
We use appropriate ARIA labels and roles to ensure screen readers can interpret dynamic content correctly.
Alternative Text
All images and icons have descriptive alt text. Charts and graphs include text descriptions of data.
Form Labels
All form inputs are properly labeled so screen reader users know what information to enter.
4. Motor & Movement
Large Click Targets
Buttons and interactive elements are at least 44x44px, reducing mistakes for people with reduced motor control.
No Time Limits
CaptureCraft has no strict time limits. You can take as long as you need to complete actions.
Adjustable Animations
We respect the prefers-reduced-motion setting. Users can disable animations for a static experience.
Touch-Friendly
The interface is fully touch-accessible for mobile and tablet users with reduced motor control.
5. Cognitive Accessibility
Clear Language
We use simple, clear language in our interface. Jargon is avoided or explained when necessary.
Consistent Navigation
Navigation patterns are consistent throughout the site, reducing cognitive load for users.
Clear Instructions
Features include clear instructions and helpful error messages to guide users.
No Flashing Content
We avoid flashing or blinking elements that could trigger seizures (no content flashes more than 3 times per second).
6. Audio & Video
Captions & Transcripts
All video content includes captions for deaf and hard of hearing users. Transcripts are provided when available.
Audio Descriptions
Important visual information in videos has audio descriptions for blind and low-vision users.
Sound Not Required
No important information is conveyed through sound alone. Sound is always paired with visual indicators.
7. Accessibility Standards
WCAG 2.1 Level AA
CaptureCraft aims to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA accessibility guidelines. We test regularly with automated and manual tools.
Continuous Improvement
We actively test our application with users who have disabilities and incorporate their feedback into improvements.
Known Issues
If you discover accessibility issues, please let us know immediately. We are committed to fixing them quickly.
Third-Party Tools
Some third-party integrations may not be fully accessible. We choose accessible alternatives when available.
